When It Comes to Chronic Pain Relief, You Are More Than A Body

Have you ever tried a 30-Day challenge?  It's well said that it takes thirty days to add, break or subtract a habit from your life.  


If you want to examine things that you like and more importantly dislike (and want to change) about your behavior and actions, a 30 Day challenge is the way to do it!  This month I am committing to 30 Days of a Whole9 Nutrition plan.  I'm not a nutrition expert by any means, but I thought I'd write a few blog updates over the next 30 Days to share my experience with my readers in the hope that just one person will be motivated to change.

This isn't the first time I've done a Paleo Challenge.  In the past year-and-a-half I've successfully completed two of them, one 30 days long, and the other 90 days.  


Professionally, I specialize in helping people overcome chronic muscle and joint pain by analyzing biomechanics of movement and identifying the root cause of the problem.  I am also experienced enough to tell you that, when it comes to chronic pain relief, you are more than just a body!


For the most part chronic pain can be easily eliminated when you correct your posture alignment and movement biomechanics.  But if you've done that and chronic pain still lingers you have to look at all the other components that make up simply being human.


One of the biggest areas that is over-looked is what we eat and feed ourselves on a daily basis.  Sadly, you can be eating a "healthy" and "nutritious" diet and at the same time be making yourself sicker and more inflamed by the minute without even knowing.  I always like to introduce the concept of nutrition to my clients because often many have an underlying systemic inflammation response within the body that they are unaware of.

So if this blog peaks your curiosity, I highly encourage you to get to the library.  Read up on anti-inflammatory diets and educate yourself first.  Then make a plan and give it a go.  30 days isn't so long that you can't do it, and long enough to let your body adapt to dietary change.  If you plan to do it, let me know, and if you have questions, please reach out.  Remember, we're in this together, and I am here to help!
